Five tips for an increased work productivity after the holidays

The restart after the holidays is the perfect time to structurally increase your staff’s productivity. The following tips will help you do this without any sense of extra workload on the part of your staff.

1. Make it possible to work everywhere
Flexible working is a rising phenomenon in Europe and the USA. A growing number of workers nowadays use Wi-Fi to work at home, on the train, and in other places. It helps to avoid unnecessary commuting and long waits in traffic tailbacks, all of which translate into valuable timesaving. An essential condition for making flexible working a success is for all staff to be able to log into everything at work and to consult any file from anywhere.

2. Make sure to set up well-appointed workplaces
A good workplace is indispensible in terms of a healthy body and mental concentration, irrespective of whether the employee is working at home or in the office. iPads are not suitable for typing a lot of text, so you need certain auxiliary aids. 5. Create a (realistic) to do list at the beginning of the day
Start the day by writing down all the big tasks you need to start and finish every day. This promotes productivity. The Getting Things Done method is quite handy when it comes to making sure that the list is updated daily. You can use this method to clearly break projects down into tasks, and to ensure that you will be able to keep your focus on the required actions.
