Evoluent D: The new stylish vertical mouse

Do you experience stiff forearms, sensitive wrists and/or tense muscles after a day of working behind your computer? In that case, your mouse might not be the right mouse for you. When using a standard mouse, your wrist is fully twisted, as shown in the image

On the other hand, our vertical Evoluent mice make sure your wrist is held in a natural “handshake” position. This posture can be maintained for longer periods of time and helps prevent physical discomfort. At the end of the day, your wrists, forearms and shoulders feel less tired.
“ On average, we use our mouse circa half of the time we spend behind our computers (EDCL, 2011). ”
More than eighteen years of experience
The Evoluent D is our latest vertical mouse. This mouse creates a better ergonomic posture because of the way it is held. The mouse’s design is inspired by years of experience and thorough scientific research. Furthermore, the previous iterations of the Evoluent mouse - the ever-popular Evoluent 4 and Evoluent C models - also contributed to the development of this latest generation.
Acclimatisation period
Acclimatisation period
When transitioning from e.g. a standard mouse to a vertical mouse, it is important that you get used to your new device quickly. The Evoluent D has a brief acclimatisation period. You will get used to your new mouse before you know it. This is because your hand is held in a natural position, i.e. the same position you use to shake hands.
High quality
The Evoluent D is made using high-quality materials. These give the mouse a premium look and feel. The Evoluent D is available in three versions, so there is a perfect model for virtually all hand sizes. Note, however, that the mouse is only suitable for right-handed users.

What sets the Evoluent D apart from the other Evoluent mice?
What sets the Evoluent D apart from the other Evoluent mice?
  • Shape: the mouse is designed in such a way that your fingers are held in the ideal position. The palm of your hand fits around the mouse better, which results in a better posture for your arm and wrist. The Evoluent 4 has a more spherical design, which means your hand does not fit around it as well as with the Evoluent C and D models. The indented buttons improve your grip. This is an important and patented innovation.
  • Unique: The Evoluent D features a magnetic battery cover. There is no risk of losing the lid or of its lip breaking off or becoming to flexible, resulting in a poor fit.
  • Versions: The Evoluent C is available in two versions. At launch, the Evoluent D will be available in two versions (with a third (large) version to be added later), so there is always a model that fits your hand perfectly.
  • Technology: A newer mouse also means more advanced technology. The Evoluent D houses the latest technology. It is equipped with a laser sensor that is even better and more accurate than before.
  • Design: The Evoluent C model already had a much sleeker and more modern design. The design of the Evoluent D fully reflects the wishes and requirements of our modern times. For example, this new mouse has more chromed surfaces. Nevertheless, its modern design does not compromise its ease of use. Furthermore, the mouse has an anti-slip section to keep you from losing your grip.
  • New software features: The mouse manager has been expanded with new features; (1) We can programme almost all buttons and assign any desired function. (2) Via the manager, you can also adjust the eye comfort. This eye comfort feature lets you adjust the brightness of the screen in different situations in order to reduce eye strain. (3) You can speed up your scrolling. The software can detect your scroll speed and knows whether you use one notch of the scroll wheel or multiple notches, depending on the speed at which you move the mouse wheel.
  • The Evoluent D does not replace the Evoluent 4 series or the Evoluent C; instead, it is a new product line that will exist in addition to these series.
